New protected area introduced in Buryatia to further protect Lake Baikal
The head of the Republic of Buryatia has signed an order establishing a new protected area near Lake Baikal. The new protected area, called the "Selenginsky Zakaznik", will cover an area of 188,000 hectares and will be located along the Selenga River.
